Appears in Mario Artist: Talent Studio (2000)

Shōichi (正一)[1] is a talent for Mario Artist: Talent Studio who appears in the movie "Ame Tokidoki...", importable from the Omake no Sakuhin menu of Mario Artist: Communication Kit. He has black hair and wears a blue shirt, a tie with a pattern, brown slacks, and brown leather shoes.

In "Ame Tokidoki...", Shōichi approaches Ichirō while he is walking in the rain and asks him what he is doing. After Ichirō tells Shōichi to ignore him, Shōichi starts quoting phrases said by Ichirō, startling him. Ichirō then demands an answer from Shōichi on how he knows those, but Shōichi just stares at him. After Ichirō says that he cannot get anything to work and so he will "end it now", Shōichi says another quote, "There's no rain that lasts forever", followed by the rain stopping. Ichirō then looks up at the sky and notices that Shōichi has disappeared when he looks back down, realizing that what he is doing is unnecessary.
