Terry is Andrew's friend and one of the hosts of The Play Nintendo Show. He primarily appears in episodes relating to the Pokémon franchise, but he does have roles in Super Mario-related episodes.
Terry first appears in "Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Terry Takeover: Part 1". When Izzy oversleeps, Reggie Fils-Aimé calls Andrew on the Phone-tendo thinking he might need some help with the show, so he sends in Terry who immediately arrives at the Casa de Nintendo. When Andrew asks him how he got here so quickly, Terry interrupts him and says he was late due to traffic. The episode's "Andrew & Izzy's Top 5" segment becomes "Terry & Frizzy's Top 5", and Terry tells Andrew and Frizzy about the Hoenn region.
In "Mario Party Star Rush Celebration!", Terry attends the party held at the end of the episode.
In "Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon Terry Takeover: Part 2", Terry returns as Frizzy claims Izzy is "sick with Piranhapox". This time he tells Andrew and Frizzy about the Alola region.
In the first episode covering Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS, Terry makes a cameo during the dance party, which is a compilation of clips from all the dance parties from the past episodes.
In "Zooming Around Nintendo HQ with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe!", Andrew runs into Terry at the Nintendo of America headquarters during a competition between him and Jenna and gives him a high five. Later, Frizzy tells Terry and two employees a joke about something Andrew told him earlier. Terry does not understand the joke, which makes everyone laugh. Andrew and Terry then play Battle Mode in Lunar Colony. Andrew loses because he was paying too much attention to the scenery, but he blames Terry for it. At the end of the episode, Terry asks Andrew how fast his cardboard kart can go as he is polishing it. Andrew answers Terry's question by asking him how fast he can run.
While Terry does not appear again in the series, his name is mentioned by Andrew in "Splatoon 2 Time Traveling", where he cheers Terry on when looking at him through the "Time Thing 7200", which Andrew uses to enter the party from "Mario Party Star Rush Celebration".
