Rodney McCorlde is an inspector working at the Clam Creek Nuclear Reactor who appears in the Game Boy comic Pipes is Pipes.
Rodney first appears at the Clam Creek Nuclear Reactor, finding Mario from among the pipes while wearing a radiation suit. Grabbing him, Rodney sarcastically comments that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission will be excited when they find out that someone left a "doll" in a nuclear containment unit. Entering control room, Rodney, no longer wearing the radiation suit, tells the workers that someone is in trouble, having found a "doll" in a nuclear containment unit. Nanette recognizes the "doll" as a "Super Mario doll", explaining that it is the second toy that the found in the nuclear containment unit. Confused about Super Mario, Nanette tells Rodney that she will take care of the situation, saying that she will take "it" to her department and fill out the necessary forms, with Rodney telling her that he wants to forget that the near-meltdown situation ever happened.
The International Enquisitor story, "MONSTER ATTACKS NUCLEAR PLANT!", Rodney explains that everything fell apart at the nuclear power plant, and went far beyond any worst case scenario he and his employees could have dreamed up, adding that they are still investigating why this happened. He then continues by saying that they have reason to believe that something was alive in the reactor, adding that they found a "Super Mario doll" in the heart of the reactor.
Notes[edit]
- Rodney McCorlde's full name is never stated in the comic; it only appears in the International Enquisitor section following the comic in the story "MONSTER ATTACKS NUCLEAR PLANT!".
