History[edit]

Game Boy comics[edit]

In the Game Boy comic Team Play, Herman Smirch, after telling Pionpi that the world's largest population center is in China, is ordered by Pionpi to drive him to China so he can enslave many humans, having his car modified to fly. However, Herman, not knowing where China is, lands on an uninhabited island in the Pacific Ocean after a few hours of flight, pretending the lack of inhabitants on the island is due to it being monsoon season. Pionpi then orders the construction of Fortress Tatanga.

Mario is Missing![edit]

In Mario's Time Machine, the Trinidad sails on the Pacific Ocean in 1521.
