Nintendo Comics System featuring Game Boy No. 1 is the first issue of the Nintendo Comics System featuring... comic series. It was released by Valiant Comics in February 1991.[1] The cover art features Mario jumping out of Josh and Rick's Game Boy into Tatanga's Pagosu, where he is holding Daisy captive as various Super Mario Land enemies swarm Mario, Josh, and Rick at Windows on the World, referencing the comic In the Palm of Your Hand..., which is featured in this issue. This issue is the only issue featuring the Game Boy comics to have a different cover art from its Game Boy comic series counterpart.
