Run[1] is the queen of the Amazons tribe of Jungle Course, who appears in Super Mario Kart 3 of the Super Mario Kodansha series. She is a redhead Amazon. To distinguish her from her lookalike tribeswomen, she has her hair untied, an animal-printed two-piece outfit (the same as Sue's), a crown, and a pendant that hold the key to the entrance of their village and Pū Tairiku.
After weeks of drought, Run decides that the responsible is a Blargg god that lives in their volcano. To appease him, Run decides to make a sacrifice to the presumed-god and with the help of Miki-chan and another Amazon, she captures Luigi as the designated sacrificial victim. While carrying him to the village, Miki-chan is accidentally left behind and locked out of the village. Later, after being catapulted inside the volcano, Wario and Bowser land in the middle of their village and, as men (and reserve sacrificial victim), they are captured by the tribe. Run then throws Luigi to the Blargg, but Mario, who found the village thanks to Miki-chan, rescues him at the last second. Run blames Mario for the failed ritual, but just then it starts to rain, killing the Blargg and putting an end to the drought. Treating Mario as a savior, the Amazons thank him and let all the men go.
Later, Luigi is stung by a venomous scorpion and, following Dr. Mario Nakamatsu's instructions, Mario returns to the Amazons, so that Run can open a way to the Pū Tairiku, located under the volcano, where the antidote is located.
