Super Mario–related role Executive producer for Club Mario

Eric Schotz was the executive producer for the Club Mario segments of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! He plays a role in the Club Mario for The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "Mario and Joliet," where he poses as Julius Caesar from the Shakespeare play of the same name during "Are You Bogus?"

During "Are You Bogus?", Tommy says that he is very excited to have "Julius Caesar" on his and Co-MC's show today before asking him for his name, to which he says that it is Julius Caesar. Co-MC comments that he is also known as "JC," though Tommy tells that he should not disrespect "Julius Caesar," as he is an emperor. He then asks his guest what he does for a living, to which he responds that he makes salad. Tommy and Co-MC realize that it is the Caesar sald, with the former commenting that he had a Caesar salad before and was very delicious. He then comments that he was a major villain in the play, before realizing that Julius Caesar was killed at the end of the play. The guest then begins speaking to someone over a headset, telling them that he knows that he and Co-MC are up to something as they realize that he is actually Eric Schotz, the executive producer of the show. Tommy tells Schotz to stand up, though he soon realizes that they are in a dilemma; their guest is bogus, but is also their boss. As Schotz tells them that they are making a poor career move, Tommy tells that, in fitting with the theme of their show, he has to leave, with him promptly leaving while throwing his laurel on the couch. He then tells him to never come back on Club Mario before laughing with Co-MC.
