Hideki Sakamoto (Japanese: 坂本 英城, Sakamoto Hideki) is a Japanese video game composer and musician. He began his career co-composing music for Shinobido: Way of the Ninja, and is well known for his work in Yakuza 2, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness, and Explorers of Sky, and in the Super Mario franchise for composing and arranging music for the Super Smash Bros. series (including "Lifelight," the main theme of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate) and Mario & Luigi: Brothership, succeeding Yoko Shimomura for the latter from previous Mario & Luigi games.[1]
