Shuntaro Furukawa (Japanese: 古川 俊太郎, Furukawa Shuntarō) is the sixth and current president of Nintendo. He was appointed on June 28, 2018, after Tatsumi Kimishima stepped down.[1][2] Furukawa had previously been the General Manager of Corporate Planning Department in 2015 and then the Managing Executive Officer of the Corporate Analysis & Administration Division in 2016.
