Davide Soliani is an Italian[1] video game developer and ex-employee of Ubisoft Milan. He is the creative director of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and its sequel Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. A fan of video games and Nintendo's in particular, Soliani was tasked by management to pitch a new game idea to revitalize the Rabbids franchise following a string of failures, with the option to show the concept to Nintendo if the pitch was judged strong enough.[2]

On October 3, 2024, Davide Soliani announced his departure from Ubisoft to found an independent game studio named DAY 4 NIGHT Studios, bringing a number of the Mario + Rabbids staff with him.[3]
