Super Mario–related role Director of the Donkey Kong Country television series

Mike Fallows is a Canadian television and film director. He directed the Donkey Kong Country television series.

Mike Fallows became involved with the series after Nelvana joined the production. Following the dismissal of several staff members over racist and sexist material in the scripts, Nelvana brought in Fallows to help stabilize the production. At the time, he was one of the few people at Nelvana with experience using computers and working with French animation studios, as the series was being produced by Medialab in Paris. Fallows was originally sent to Paris only to help stabilize the production, not to direct the series, as the project already had a French director. However, after working on the show for about a month, he was asked if he wanted to take over as director, and he accepted.[1]

Fallows has also stated that he enjoyed working on the show.[2]
