“「ワシが見る限り、タケシ君もヒカルちゃんももう一人前じゃ。ワシなんぞいなくなってもカードコマンダーとして立派に戦っていけるはずじゃ。今度は敵としてどこかの大会で顔を合わせることもあるかもしれん。その時はお手柔らかにな。」From what I see, both of you are already full-fledged. Even without me, you can fight proudly as card commanders. Perhaps someday we'll meet as opponents in a tournament. If so, go easy on me.
Sensei, DK Card Nyūmon Guide

Sensei[1] (also referred to as Ojīsan and Nazo no Rōjin) is a character in DK Card Nyūmon Guide, a tutorial for the Donkey Kong Card Game published on the official Japanese Nintendo website. He is an elderly man with a long white beard and a bald head.

Throughout DK Card Nyūmon Guide, Sensei teaches Hikaru and Takeshi (who are occasionally referred to as his grandchildren) how to play the Donkey Kong Card Game, which he states he has never lost. Initially, Sensei only makes this decision because Takeshi states that he will give him his Lanky Kong card, which Sensei had previously requested. At first, Sensei appears to be slightly irritable, such as telling Hikaru not to refer to him as "Ojīsan" because it makes him "lose motivation." However, as Takeshi and Hikaru improve at the game, he begins speaking more kindly to the pair, even refusing the Lanky Kong card when Takeshi attempts to give it to him. Sensei then leaves, stating he has an appointment with another child who stated that they would give Sensei a Kiddy Kong card in exchange for him teaching them the game's rules.
