"I Wanna be a Star"[1] is the first song in the Donkey Kong Country television series episode "Hooray for Holly-Kongo Bongo". After Bluster Kong informs Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, and Cranky Kong when his film auditions begin, the three sing this song.

This song aired on Musitoon, Teletoon's music segment, along with "The Pirate Scorn".[1] An instrumental version of this song titled "The Rockin Carnival" is featured on the album NLV 146 - Music for Silly Moments Vol.2.[2]
