This article is about the opening theme song for the Donkey Kong Country television series. For the musical theme from Donkey Kong Country known as simply "Theme", see Title BGM (Donkey Kong) § Donkey Kong Country. The "Donkey Kong Country Theme",^[5] also known as the "Donkey Kong Country opening theme song",^[5]^[A] and the "Donkey Kong Theme",^[6] is the theme song for the Donkey Kong Country television series that plays during the show's opening. The lyrics and melody of the theme song were written by Pure West,^[1] and it was sung by Sterling Jarvis.^[2] There is also a shorter version used on Fox Family,^[7] and a shorter instrumental version used in the end credits.

The Japanese version of the show uses two other theme songs instead: "Ashita ni Nattara..." as the opening theme and "Banana Tengoku" as the ending theme.
