BomBom Ōkoku no Daijin is the minister of BomBom Kingdom who appeared in Super Mario Land 2 - 6-tsu no Kinka 3 of the Super Mario Kodansha manga. He is identical to Henshū (Kazuki Motoyama's editor assistant who appears in various cameos throughout the manga) wearing a Bedouin outfit, complete with a keffiyeh and a scimitar.
After defeating Wario and saving the Mario Land, Mario returns to his royal duties. However, he gives Luigi the temporary king role whenever he wants to have fun and go out with Princess Peach. In one of these occasions, Mario gives the crown to Luigi so that he can welcome the minister. During the visit, Luigi spots Mario and Peach out the window and frowns and sighs. The minister perceives Luigi's demeanor as a sign of his disinterest and storms out in a fit of anger. Mario notices the minister leaving, and this sparks an argument between the brothers, which will cause the return of Aku no Keshin, the embodiment of evil that possessed Wario during his conquest.
