"Super Mario Odyssey Space Exploration" is the thirty-first episode of The Play Nintendo Show on Play Nintendo's YouTube channel. This episode covers Super Mario Odyssey.
Plot synopsis[edit]
In outer space, copies of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, ARMS, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are seen representing the eighteenth, seventeenth, and nineteenth episodes of The Play Nintendo Show respectively. Andrew Trego explains the game copies are the episodes of the series, and that their mission is to play the best video games in the space galaxy, and also eat cake. Andrew puts away his Nintendo Switch and welcomes the viewer to the S.S. Worthington. He introduces himself as the captain, Izzy as the director of "cool operations", and Jenna as the director of communications. Andrew tells Jenna to tell their mother that he said hi. Frizzy is revealed to be the pilot as he makes a sharp turn. Andrew reconsiders his decision making Frizzy the pilot. The sirens go off as Izzy detects "cool" signals nearby. Jenna ends her call with her mother and puts the signal up on screen: Super Mario Odyssey, one of the most anticipated action-adventure games of the year. Andrew tells Frizzy to bring them in for a closer look and Izzy to give him all the information he can get on the game. Izzy gives him the information. Andrew is most excited about the T. Rex. Andrew tells Frizzy to start the tractor beam, which is used to obtain the game. Jenna updates Andrew on the game, saying she has heard about the game's multiplayer capabilities. After Frizzy hits a space bump, the sirens go off again as Izzy has noticed another signal. Andrew asks Jenna for assistance, but they need more power. Andrew calls his aunt Myrtle for more power. Myrtle presses the button labeled "More power" as she knits, bringing back the power. Wedding Mario, Bowser, and Princess Peach amiibos show up on the screen, which Izzy says are launching at the same time as the game. When Andrew asks what the amiibos do, Jenna provides him with that information. Andrew calls out for the tractor beam using two words, and Frizzy provides him with "two" more words: "you're a natural leader." Andrew calls "dibs" on the amiibo and tells the viewer the game will release on October 27. An Ask Izzy segment plays, where Andrew wears a chicken mask. After the hosts tell the viewer to like, subscribe, and visit the Play Nintendo website, Andrew tells Myrtle to start a "space party dance out", which begins immediately afterward.
