"Battling the Broodals"[1] (titled "Broodals Battle" in the Music List) is a boss theme in Super Mario Odyssey that plays when battling Topper, Hariet, Rango, or Spewart of the Broodals. It is a frantic theme played using synthesized instruments and composed by Naoto Kubo.[2]

An orchestrated version of this theme that makes heavy use of brass and electric guitar plays in boss battles against Madame Broode, titled "Battling Madame Broode"[1] ("Madame Broode Battle" in the Music List). This arrangement is dynamic: while Broode's Chain Chomp is captured, Chain Chomp barking will be added to the theme.

A short variation of the frenetic opening synth titled "Dey Call Us da Broodals!"[1] can be heard when Mario and Cappy encounter the Broodals for the first time in the Cap Kingdom, playing as a flourish when the group says the eponymous line.
