- “You look just like the villain in the wanted posters!”
- —Pianta in Delfino Plaza, Super Mario Sunshine
Posters are objects that appear in Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Odyssey. In Super Mario Sunshine, they are wanted posters depicting Shadow Mario that can be found on walls around Isle Delfino. If they are sprayed with F.L.U.D.D., they release an item of interest from the wall they are attached to.
In Super Mario Odyssey, they appear as wedding-announcement posters[1] and can be found plastered on walls in the Cap Kingdom, Sand Kingdom, Metro Kingdom, and Luncheon Kingdom. They feature an advertisement for Bowser's wedding and have a large variant that exclusively appears in the Metro Kingdom. Posters can be removed by throwing Cappy at them, releasing coins for it. One of the moons in the Sand Kingdom is obtained by removing all the posters from a building, which do not give coins when removed. In addition, Peronza Plaza in the Luncheon Kingdom has unique posters for the Cooking Carnival.
