Racing Layer is the twelfth layer in the Underground World of Donkey Kong Bananza, occupying sublayer 1100. It is the location of the Rambi Rumble, a Rambi-riding racing event hosted by Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong. There are no fossils in this layer.

The Racing Layer is composed of nine floating islands, the largest of which is the race track itself. It was constructed from the debris of Ingot Isle's Baboomtown by a group of Prospector Monkeys who have befriended Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong, which also applies to the signage on all of the other islands. The monkeys also train and look after the Rambis. The tiny island in the center of the track has eleven dancing Fractones made of gold.

The island that Donkey Kong and Pauline land on holds the race lobby, which has Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong at the front desk, as well as the Warp Gong to the right. Cranky Kong and his Rambi are found in the room below, in a hidden passage below the winner's podium. The Collectone can also be found in a cranny on the outside of this room, while another cranny has a bed and closet. A smaller floating island above the Warp Gong has the layer's only Getaway, the Top-Tier Getaway, and a rope box that can be punched to create a shortcut to the island. Four of the other islands have little besides some signage from Ingot Isle, though the island to the left of the starting island also has a lone Banandium Gem.

The backmost island has a gigantic golden trophy with the faces of Diddy and Dixie on the front, two handles shaped like two pairs of bananas, and the sinkhole to the Radiance Layer in the center. To reach the trophy, Donkey Kong can beat Diddy and Dixie at the Rambi Rumble, which causes a Barrel Cannon that launches them to the top of the trophy to appear at the number 1 spot of the winner's podium. Alternately, Donkey Kong can simply reach the trophy island easily by fluttering and gliding with the Ostrich Bananza. If the race is skipped, Pauline mentions this while diving down the sinkhole to the Radiance Layer, and will suggest they return in the future to participate in the race.

Main article: List of Banandium Gems in the Racing Layer

There are a total of fourteen Banandium Gems (nine regular gems and one bunch of 5) in the Racing Layer, tying it with the Divide for having the fewest Gems of any layer. During Donkey Kong's first visit to this layer, he can collect eight Banandium Gems and the bunch of 5 Gems. After Donkey Kong defeats King K. Rool in New Donk City, another Banandium Gem becomes available to collect.
