The Dive Punch is one of Donkey Kong's moves in Donkey Kong Bananza. It is executed by pressing B Button while in mid-air: this causes Donkey Kong to punch downwards as he falls, allowing him to defeat enemies and activate certain mechanisms.[1] It is also used to dig through terrain, with the distance traveled underground dependent on the type of terrain.[2] Donkey Kong uses the Dive Punch in key art for the game, which is incorporated into the game's box art.

In Super Mario Run, the Donkey Kong Statue and Gold Donkey Kong Statue depict Donkey Kong performing the Dive Punch against the base of the statue. The normal base for statues in the game is unaffected; the base of both statues has a wide portion above the normal base that the punch breaks. Both statues are based on the solo version of Donkey Kong Bananza's key artwork.
