Dig the Beat[1] is the third Emerald Rush event in Donkey Kong Bananza. It is set in the Landfill Layer from December 16, 2025, 00:00 a.m. PT through December 22, 2025, 11:59 p.m. PT.

Naming[edit]
The English title of the event is a pun that invokes different meanings of "dig" and "beat". Digging is largely how the player can advance through the Landfill Layer's terrain-dense environment, but the event's name also points to the word's secondary meaning of liking something—in this case, the "beat". "Beat" simultaneously refers to Donkey Kong's punching motions as he digs, and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, the debut game of Ninja Kong and Ghastly King.
