Dig the Beat[1] is an Emerald Rush event in Donkey Kong Bananza, set in the Landfill Layer.
Dig the Beat was the third of twelve Emerald Rush events to be held, with its initial availability period running from December 16, 2025, 00:00 a.m. PT through December 22, 2025, 11:59 p.m. PT. Starting in 2026, the event runs for the entire month of December each year.

Naming[edit]
The English title of the event is a pun on the term "to dig the beat", i.e. to like the music. "Dig" also refers to the action of making a hole in the dirt, which is how the player can advance through the Landfill Layer's terrain-dense environment, while "Beat" refers to Donkey Kong's punching while fighting enemies or digging through terrain, as well as Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, the debut game of Ninja Kong and Ghastly King.
