The Divide is the fifth layer visited in the Underground World of Donkey Kong Bananza, occupying sublayer 400. It is a small layer prominently featuring Switcheroo Goo to allow Donkey Kong and Pauline to reach higher areas. As the name suggests, there are two paths leading to the Freezer Layer and the Forest Layer; the player can choose which one to enter first, but both paths must be taken in order to progress.

Bananadium Gems[edit]

There are a total of fourteen Banandium Gems (nine regular gems and one bunch of 5) in the Divide. During Donkey Kong's first visit to this layer, he can collect eight Banandium Gems and the bunch of Gems. After Donkey Kong defeats King K. Rool in New Donk City, another Banandium Gem becomes available to collect.
