Hilltop Layer is the third layer in the Underground World of Donkey Kong Bananza, occupying sublayer 200. It is a grassy, hilly region with banana-shaped rock formations, and it is populated solely by Fractones in Fractone Village.

When Donkey Kong and Pauline first reach the Hilltop Layer, they come across Fractone Village, where they meet several Fractones, including one that explains to the duo that the layer's Sinkhole had been blocked by a giant banana-shaped dirt pile. It also recommends Rolling and Turf Surfing to get there quicker. When they get to the dirt pile, however, it is covered in Voided Terrain, so they destroy a Terravoider to remove the terrain, which in turn frees Constructone, who promises to demolish the dirt pile if Donkey Kong and Pauline give them 2999 Gold (reduced from 9999 due to their friendly nature). After the dirt pile is demolished, the duo enter a passageway to the Sinkhole, which they enter after destroying the Void Stake blocking it.
