The Fossil Museum is a location on the Groove Layer in Donkey Kong Bananza. The Fossil Museum is curated by Collectone, who does not serve their usual purpose here. The museum itself is octagonal and almost entirely consists of Neptunite and Slippery Neptunite. The entrance to the museum is found in the Disco Hall and is blocked by a barrier that can be removed by speaking with a nearby Fractone. Every fossil type is displayed here, with Donkey Kong first having to spend a fossil of that type at a Style Shop for it to be displayed. The museum has a lower area, where the entrance is located, and a top area, which is accessed by a glass ramp, underneath which is where the triceratops fossil is displayed. A gold, pyramid-shaped Fractone; a concrete Fractone with a fossil in them; and Grumpy Kong once the big speaker is repaired all stand on the top area of the museum.

The swordfish, robot, triceratops, spider, and sea urchin fossils are displayed in the lower area. The frog (alt color), 8-bit barrel, and beaver fossils are displayed together at the right side of the lower area. The frog, leaf, and sea lily fossils are displayed together on the left side of the lower area. The pig, anglerfish, armadillo, and 8-bit items fossils are all displayed in glass, triangular cases in the lower area. The T. Rex, 8-bit DK, and whale fossils are displayed in the top area. The sea lily (alt color), beaver (alt color), ammonite (alt color), and leaf (alt color) fossils are displayed together at the left side of the top area. The ammonite, banana bird, and old tire fossils are displayed together at the right side of the top area. The trilobite, anomalocaris, Cathode-Ray Tube, and preserved bug fossils are all displayed in glass, pyramid-shaped cases in the top area.

When inside the Fossil Museum, the player is prompted to enter Photo Mode.

Once Donkey Kong collects every fossil and spends them, speaking to Collectone here gives him a Banandium Gem.
