In Donkey Kong Bananza, 110 songs from throughout the game can be played through the Music Player at Getaways and the Massive Speaker in the Groove Layer, accessed by interacting with the gramophone and the DJ turntable on the top or bottom floor of the Disco Hall, respectively. Songs played through the gramophone have a filter applied that lowers the audio quality. In the post-game, after paying Grumpy Kong 20,000 gold to repair the Massive Speaker in the Groove Layer, songs can be played there at full quality. One song, "Getaway," is unlocked by default after first building a Getaway, while the rest are unlocked by collecting discs. Songs that the player has encountered in the game but whose discs have not yet been collected have their titles listed in the Music Player and Massive Speaker's menu, albeit grayed out and unable to be played. Donkey Kong can hit the gramophone to play a different song at random, though this does not work on the DJ turntables. When playing music through the Massive Speaker, the Groovetones harmonize to the music, and Donkey Kong can hit the conical devices scattered around the Disco Hall to play different instruments that also harmonize with the music. Some tracks, such as cutscene music and battle variations of layer themes, are not included in the music list.
