Poison plants are green, bulbous plants in Donkey Kong Bananza. Three of them appear on sublayer 601 of the Forest Layer. Poison plants are embellished with the Void Company's pattern and constantly release a stream of poison from their opening at the top. This stream is harmless, however. Each time one of the three poison plants is destroyed, the poison water level of the sublayer decreases. Only after all poison plants are destroyed can Donkey Kong reach the entrance to the next sublayer. Poison plants must be destroyed using three normal attacks or one Charge Punch. Poison plants swell after each attack against them, giving them a more yellow color.
The first of the three poison plants is found atop a wood ostrich head outside the Rubbery Roost. The second of the three is found at the Eggshell Hotel Annex. The third of the three is found on a floating islet accessed by using a set of three updraft fans.
