Tasty rumors have led prospecting monkeys to a strange isle...” - —Loading screen tip while loading Ingot Isle
Ingot Isle is a location featured in Donkey Kong Bananza. It is located "far off the shores" of DK Island and mainly explored in-game as Ingot Isle Cave-In, the first layer in the game. Prior to the events of Donkey Kong Bananza, Ingot Isle saw a great surge of valued mineral bananas called the Banandium Gems, prompting many prospectors to come to the place to mine them, as well as Donkey Kong. A little after his arrival, the center of the isle was pushed underground by Void Company's Pay-Dirt Piledriver.
Ingot Isle is a brown, rocky landmass featuring an abundance of trees, along with several mountains resembling banana peels. Baboomtown, a bustling city which is furnished with hot pink metallic structures and mining equipment, as well as many lights and neon signs, is situated in the center of the isle. Its main landmark is a tall, banana-shaped pinnacle with a large neon sign spelling the isle's name.
In the post-game, Ingot Isle before it caves in can be revisited to collect any missed Banandium Gems there. This is done by talking to a monkey at Ingot Isle Cave-In where Donkey Kong initially woke up after the cave-in happened. Ingot Isle is revisited by hearing and remembering the story of the day the Pay-Dirt Piledriver flew by. This remembered version of Ingot Isle has a difference: after using a Dive Punch on the last panel there to open the golden path to the Banandium Gems at the end, the walls can be climbed to reach a surface area with a monkey who can be talked to. The monkey is impressed that Donkey Kong found his favorite hiding spot, and comments, "I've got a hunch you're gonna be a big deal someday, DK!" When Ingot Isle is explored at the start of the game, this conversation ends here. In the post-game revisit, the player is given a dialogue option to have Donkey Kong say, "Saw the Planet Core." Choosing this dialogue option causes the monkey to say, "The Planet Core?! Oh, come on! Don't go making stuff up!"
