- “I thought VoidCo. was a mining company! Why would they make a pokey poison plant witch? Ugh!”
- —Pauline, Donkey Kong Bananza
Abracajabya is a boss appearing in Donkey Kong Bananza, appearing in sublayer 602 of the Forest Layer. It blocks one of the two paths leading to the Junction. It is a gargantuan, flower-like monster resembling a witch. Created by Grumpy Kong, Abracajabya was used by Void Company to poison the Forest Layer and prevent Donkey Kong and Pauline from progressing to the Planet Core.
Abracajabya's battle takes place across the entire sublayer. It attacks by sprouting up at a distance from Donkey Kong and shooting large thorns towards him. He can climb these thorns to reach the boss' head, where he can attack its weak point. Along the path, smaller thorns sprout up in an attempt to block Donkey Kong. Alternatively, he can try to dodge the thorns it shoots out with the Ostrich Bananza and updraft fans littered across the arena.
Once its health is drained, the boss shakes off Donkey Kong and the cycle repeats, with Abracajabya becoming more aggressive each time.
After three hits, Abracajabya is defeated, and the blocked path to the Junction is opened.
Abracajabya is fought in the second round of the Bunch of Boss Battles Challenge Rush. In this battle, updraft fans are replaced with golden pillars activated by Hand Slapping. The large thorns used as paths created by Abracajabya are made of mud, rubber, and concrete for each respective phase. These paths eventually turn into fragile dirt, requiring the player to use Zebra Bananza to travel along these paths without falling.
NamingEdit
Abracajabya's name is a portmanteau of the magic incantation "abracadabra" and the phrase "jab you."
