The Skills page in Donkey Kong Bananza

Skill Points in Donkey Kong Bananza enable Donkey Kong to upgrade his innate abilities and unlock new moves. A Skill Point is earned for every five Banandium Gems obtained; therefore, a total of 200 Skill Points can be earned, which is exactly enough to unlock every upgrade.

The game will recommend a skill for the player to focus on unlocking based on location and story progress; it does this by marking the icon of a skill with a star and placing a diagonal black banner in the lower right corner of the skill's demonstration window reading "Get this!".

If Donkey Kong wishes to reset his skills, he can speak to one of the elders and ask them to reset his skills, which will also refund any Skill Points that have been spent; in addition, if he has more than one can of Apple Juice or Melon Juice, any extras will be converted into 1000 gold and 500 gold, respectively; these are the prices of the items at the Stuff Shop.
