Elephants are a group of large, mammalian creatures who appear in Donkey Kong Bananza, populating the volcanic caverns of the Underground World's Tempest Layer. They are meteorologists, typically wearing raincoats to protect themselves from rainstorms while measuring the weather, and offering bananas to the Singing Blusterwing to appease its mood and ensure a pleasant forecast. They also make use of the Tempest Layer's hot springs to relax after watching the weather. During their visit, Donkey Kong and Pauline have been requested by the Elephants to calm down the Singing Blusterwing, as it has been corrupted into the Sinister Blusterwing thanks to VoidCo, resulting into the layer's weather to go haywire. The most notable feature of the Elephants are their trunks, which they not only use to carry objects such as books and umbrellas, but also use like a vacuum cleaner to inhale or retrieve objects through suction. They typically say "paWOO" or similar varieties of it in their dialogue, referencing the stereotype of elephants blowing their trunks like horns.
