Deep under Detention
Below the Barrel Cannon in the area under the speaker, the player must travel through Boom Rock bombs and reach a room at the very end. Available from the start.

Banana behind Bars
In a cell behind concrete bars in the middle floor of the Jail Hall. Available from the start.
4 One of Groove Layer's Banandium Gems
A Square-Shaped Secret
In a secret room behind the rubber/gold Fractone in the same cell as Banana #3. Available from the start.
5 One of Groove Layer's Banandium Gems
Smash and Receive
In a cell occupied by a Constructone in the Jail Hall's middle floor, the player must destroy the sign to access a secret room that contains this banana. Available from the start.

Rewarded by talking to Collectone after collecting and spending every fossil in the Underground World. Available after defeating King K. Rool in New Donk City.

Destined for the Top
In the room below the VIP Room and the Fossil Museum is a door to Groove Layer Challenge Course 1 – Quest for the Top. The player must use Swap Harps that switch between mud and Liftoff Ore to reach this banana at the halfway point of the Challenge Course. Available from the start.

A Groovy Disco-very
Inside the disco ball at the very top of the Challenge Course; the player must use Liftoff Ore to reach the ball. Available from the start.

Cranky's Groove Rant
The player must talk to Cranky Kong, located in the VIP Room. Available from the start.

Banana Chandelier
On the ceiling of the VIP Room. Available from the start.
15 Smashintone rewarding a Banandium Gem
Groove Smashin' Stats
Located by the entrance to the Getaway, the player must talk to Smashintone after destroying 3000 m3 of concrete. Available from the start.
16 One of Groove Layer's Banandium Gems
Groovin' Once Again
After finding the Groovetones and returning them to the stage below the speaker, the player must talk to the pyramid-shaped Fractone to receive this banana. Available after paying Grumpy Kong 20000 gold and reuniting the Groovetones.

The player must destroy the Terravoider in the Beat Source, restore the Beat disc, and then return to the Disco Hall through the Beat Tunnel. Available from the start.

The Catchy Melody Is Back
The player must destroy the Terravoider in the Melody Source, restore the Melody disc, and then return to the Disco Hall through the Melody Tunnel. Available from the start.
26 A Battle Challenge
Battle: Opposite Obliteration
In the area below the speaker is a portal to Groove Layer Battle Challenge 1. To access the challenge, the player must turn the rubber into gold with a Swap Harp. The player must use the Neptunite/stone Swap Harp to defeat two Crockoids. Available from the start.
27 A Battle Challenge
Battle: Cliff-Wall Ambush
Next to the first Battle Challenge, the player must pay the Constructone 600 Gold to access Groove Layer Battle Challenge 2. The player must defeat 4 Wallopoids hidden on the stone wall. Available from the start.
28 One of Groove Layer's Banandium Gems
A Gift from Poppy
The player must talk to Poppy Kong in the area under the speaker. Available after paying Grumpy Kong 20000 gold and reuniting the Groovetones.
29 One of Groove Layer's Banandium Gems
Dig the Groovy Nightlife
The player must punch four immobile Fractones in a crowd, similar to Seekertone's missions. Available after paying Grumpy Kong 20000 gold and reuniting the Groovetones.
