Statues of various characters and enemies from Donkey Kong Bananza appear on DK Island in the DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC. By paying the Squawks at Squawks's Hut 100 Banandium Chips (later increased to 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400 and 500 as more statues are collected), he will find a statue from the sea[1] and place it on the island. While the first statue found is always one of Donkey Kong and Pauline, every subsequent statue found is selected at random. Once all 85 statues are collected, a golden statue of Donkey Kong and Pauline is unlocked.

Though the statue Squawks finds once paid is random, each statue spawns at a specific spot on DK Island. Statues of similar themes appear grouped together, such as the Kremling Krew statues all appearing on the wrecked Gangplank Galleon, or the animal-shaped Fractones all appearing in the south side of the Mountain Cave. The statues can be moved by Donkey Kong to anywhere on the layer. By talking to the Squawks found throughout the layer (besides the one at Squawks's Hut), the statues can be reset to their original positions.

Statues cannot be destroyed by Donkey Kong. Aiming a chunk at a statue will display its name, in lieu of showing its terrain type.

During an Emerald Rush, golden parts of statues such as the Stompenclomper statue's hair and the Antickoid statue's chunk will turn into emerald ore.

Additional statues are added through limited-time Emerald Rush events, held periodically.[2][3] These statues depict either Donkey Kong's Bananza forms, or characters from other games in the Donkey Kong franchise. All of these statues have a golden base, a feature shared with the "Golden DK & Pauline statue" present in the base game.
