“Indeed, you are hearing the words of the mighty Kong that sits before you. I'm the presiding elder of this quiet fishing village.”
Kong Elder, Donkey Kong Bananza

The Kong Elder is one of the five elders in Donkey Kong Bananza. He is a large Kong that wears headphones. He resides in the Lagoon Layer, and is the first elder met. In addition to being a DJ, he is also the former greatest Salvager Monkey in the Underground World, who was strong like Donkey Kong. He grants Pauline the ability to transform Donkey Kong into the Kong Bananza transformation during the Bananza ceremony. He is the only one of the elders to be based on and named after a fictional species (which itself is derived from gorillas).

After the Bananza ceremony and Bananza Lesson, the Kong Elder tells Donkey Kong and Pauline about the Banandium Root in the Planet Core.
