Mecha Kongs are robotic Donkey Kong look-alikes found in Donkey Kong: Barrel Blast. In the game, they appear as enemies exclusive to the Cosmic Highway racetrack. They attack racers by firing bluish-white laser beams that will electrocute those hit. Two variants of them are found on the racetrack, a larger variant, and a smaller variant known as Mecha Kong Mini. The small ones only fire single laser beams and can be defeated in one hit. The giant one fires multiple laser beams as well as homing missiles, and it cannot be defeated, but players can stun it temporarily by crashing into it while using a Wild Move.
