LessonsEdit

AcceleratingEdit

Welcome to my flight school! In this game, you can use a machine called a barrel rocket to fly through the air. First, let's learn how to fly straight.Shake the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to accelerate. If ya keep shakin', you'll hear sound from the Wii Remote and hit MAX SPEED! At MAX SPEED, yer barrel rockets can't fly any faster. When that happens, you can stop shakin' the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. Just sit back and enjoy the ride! Oh, I almost forgot! I got another good tip for ya! You can fly faster than normal if a rival is ahead of ya. That's 'cause racers make somethin' called a slipstream, and ridin' in it gives you a speed boost. But ya gotta stay real close to the rider in front of ya, or it won't work! Well, now ya know how to fl! It's easy as banana cream pie! Once the lesson begins, shake the Wii Remote and Nunchuk alternately until you reach MAX SPEED. Select Practice below to hit the course!

DodgingEdit

Lesson Two covers how to turn left and right. You can move sideways to dodge obstacles. The courses aren't exactly clean. There's barrels and boxes and critters and all kinds of stuff littered on 'em. If ya hit somethin', you're gonna slow down. And nobody wants that! Shake the Wii Remote to turn right. Shake the Nunchuk to turn left. That's reversed if you're left-handed. Yer barrel rocket will automatically follow the course. But if ya rely on the rocket alone, you're gonna make wide, slow turns. Hug the curves by shakin' the Wii Remote or Nunchuk. Now you know how to turn and move sideways. Let's practice what you've learned. Dodge the barrels on the course as you fly. Dodge five times to pass. Select Practice below to hit the course!

JumpingEdit

This lesson is about jumpin' over stuff! Eh? ...I know you're flying! Ya can still jump! Sheesh! Youngsters! Just move the Wii Remote and Nunchuk up at the same time to jump. Jumping lets ya fly to places that are higher than normal. Oh, and when ya jump, you can still dodge and build up speed and all that good stuff. You'll start to fall as soon as you're done jumpin'. But you can stay in the air for a while if you accelerate after you jump. And if ya keep shakin', you can fly farther too. This is a very important thing to remember! Now you know how to jump. On to the lesson! Jump up and grab bananas! You'll need to get a handful or so to pass. Select Practice below to hit the course!

AttackingEdit

This lesson is all about attackin' things! Use yer attack to hit obstacles or rivals and clear 'em outta the way! Press the A Button to unleash yer attack. You can change button settings on the Options screen. However, you can't smash some obstacles even if you attack 'em. So watch out for anything that looks super solid, like Iron Barrels! Now ya know how to attack. Ready for the lesson? Attack and smash 10 barrels! Select Practice below to hit the course!

Bananas!Edit

Lesson Five is on the tasty side. Lemme tell ya about the bananas that you'll find on the courses. Bananas are one of the most important things in the race. And they're good eatin' too! Once the race starts, a gauge tellin' ya how many bananas you've grabbed will appear on the right side of the screen. The gauge looks like this, ya see? The gauge and numbers tell ya how many bananas you have. The flame symbol tell ya how many times you can use somethin' called a Wild Move. When you grab 50 bananas, a flame'll appear. That means it's Wild Move time! But I'll get to Wild Moves a little later... Right now, let's just grab some bananas! Grab 50 bananas! Select Practice below to hit the course!

Wild MovesEdit

What was i gonna teach ya next...? Oh, that's right! Wild Moves. This lesson is a little tough. BUT! It's the most crucial technique for racin'. You can't expect to be a Barrel Blast hero without masterin' yer Wild Moves! A Wild Move gives ya a burst of speed and a powerful attack! You can use it while this Wild Move symbol is burnin'. Tilt the Control Stick and hold it down until ya glow red hot! You'll turn all red and shiny, then go blastin' through the air! If ya hit somethin' breakable while usin' a Wild Moves, you'll blow it away! Whooooo! Hittin' stuff will build combos, which can lead to more Wild Moves. And more is BETTER! The more combos ya get, the better life is. I reckon ya better smash into most everything ya see! Oh, hold on there! I plumb forgot! Ya can't get a combo if ya hit somethin' that's unbreakable. That'll just hurt like the dickens! Now ya know all about Wild Moves. On to the next lesson! Grab bananas and use Wild Moves. Select Practice below to hit the course!

Using ItemsEdit

This lesson is all about items and stuff like that. Get items from these balloons. Once ya get an item, an icon'll appear on the upper part of the screen. Press the B Button or Z Button to use it. You can go to the Options menu to change what buttons you'll use. There are two different balloons, and each carries different kinds of items. There are mostly power-up items in the red balloons. Members of the Kong family are big fans of these items! There are mostly offensive items in the blue balloons. Kremlings love to use these items! If you use your character's preferred items, the effect of that item will be doubled. It's called an effect-up! Of course, you can use any item ya want. Don't forget that! Just try it on your own and see how they work. That's the best way to learn! I'm sure ya learned everything ya need to know about items! So here's today's lesson. Get the balloons on the racetrack and use the items in the race. Well? Ya wanna give it a shot? If you select Practice, you can get balloons and practice using the items.

Put It Together!Edit

Heh! I've taught ya everything ya need to know! But if ya forget somethin', just try that lesson again. Once ya thing ya have everything mastered, head for the course and try it out. Let's go! Select Practice below to hit the course!
