Effect Chunks thrown in them create trails

Throw zones are large, special regions in Donkey Kong Bananza. They are transparent, geometric areas that have a pattern of triangles on their surface. When a chunk is thrown in them—either by Donkey Kong or a Buzzoid—a trail of Passage Stone, a material nearly identical to Fractonium, is left behind the chunk as it goes through the region. The projectiles fired by VoidCo Bongo Blasters also create a trail of Passage Stone in throw zones. Throw zones are the primary means of traversing the Forbidden Layer, and paying Securitones gold is required to create throw zones. An orange variation of throw zones appear on the path to the layer's 11th Banandium Gem, "Passage to the Lonely Island". These orange versions create a trail of lava instead of Passage Stone. Some throw zones move or rotate. The trails in these throw zones translate with the throw zone.

Throw zones only appear in two other locations outside the Forbidden Layer: the Zebra Elder's Rehearsal Hall and the Ostrich Elder's Rehearsal Hall. In the former location, throw zones create gold trails, and launched Squeeloids and Rolluskoids can create trails in throw zones. In the latter location, throw zones create rubber trails, and spit from Muckoids can create trails.
