Elephant Elder's Rehearsal Hall
- “My DJ skills will keep you in elegant form–and elephant form! Let's see how well you cast your voice–and cast the weather!”
- —Elephant Elder, Donkey Kong Bananza
Elephant Elder's Rehearsal Hall is a Bananza Rehearsal in Donkey Kong Bananza. It is hosted by the Elephant Elder in the post-game. The player has to collect 500 Banandium Gems before being allowed to attempt the Rehearsal.
The challenges in this Rehearsal involve solving puzzles using Trunk Chunks. If the player is stuck, or runs out of Chunks at any moment, they can talk to an Elephant Fractone to retry the area.
Layout[edit]
Rehearsal Hall Entrance[edit]
- “Breaking forecast! Heavy rainfall... but perhaps that water can be of use!”
- —Elephant Elder
The entrance consists of a walkway with waterfalls on each side. At the end of the walkway is a Buzzoid that throws chunks of water. The player must suck up water from the waterfalls and defeat the Buzzoid with a water Chunk.
Defeating the Buzzoid opens a door to the next section, consisting of a VoidCo Bongo Blaster above a cell blocked by concrete bars. On top of the cell is a Barrel Cannon, which takes the player to the first area.
"Rain Turning to Salt"[edit]
- “Breaking forecast! Salt is on the horizon... Can you use it wisely?”
- —Elephant Elder
In the first area, the player must use chunks of Salt to create Shifty Platforms and defeat Trapantuloids with tops made of muck. The first section consists of moving Shifty Platforms and a single Trapantuloid.
Defeating the Trapantuloid unlocks the second section. The player must continue up Shifty Platforms and defeat two Trapantuloids.
Rain Turning to Salt: Cleared[edit]
Defeating all enemies opens a door to the end section of the first area, which houses a Banandium Gem. To the right of the end section is an extra challenge. The player must destroy a block of ice to climb up a Neptunite Platform, where a Banandium Gem is located.
"Salty, Light Showers"[edit]
- “Breaking forecast! High chance of lightning–err, lighting! Think hard!”
- —Elephant Elder
Taking the Barrel Cannon from the previous area leads to the second area. The player must first use a chunk of Glow Stone to light up a bulb and open the bars.
The first section consists of a zip-line with a wall of muck blocking the path, and a Swap Harp that swaps between Glow Stone and sand. The player must destroy the muck with salt, and then ride the zip-line with a chunk of Glow Stone. After the zip-line is a platform of Neptunite and Glow Stone, occupied by a Molevoloid. The player must lure the Molevoloid into the Glow Stone and defeat it.
Defeating the Molevoloid unlocks the second section; the player must light a bulb to reach the section with a path of lava and a Shifty Platform. The second section is a platform of Neptunite and lava with another Molevoloid. The player must lure the Molevoloid into the lava by Turf Surfing on a chunk of Glow Stone to defeat it.
Defeating the Molevoloid unlocks the third section; the player must light a bulb behind a wall of muck to reach the section with a path of muck and a Shifty Platform. The third section is a platform of Neptunite and muck with another Molevoloid. The player must lure the Molevoloid into the muck, and defeat it with a chunk of salt.
Salty, Light Showers: Cleared[edit]
Defeating the third Molevoloid opens a door to the end section of the second area, which houses a Banandium Gem. For this extra challenge, the player must throw a chunk of Glow Stone into a Barrel Cannon across a spiky platform, which sends the chunk towards a slope that lights up several bulbs and makes another Barrel Cannon appear. The player can then take the new Barrel Cannon to access the platform with another Banandium Gem.
"Salty with a Chance of Gold"[edit]
- “Breaking forecast! The golden hour is upon you... Use it wisely!”
- —Elephant Elder
Taking the Barrel Cannon from the previous area leads to the third area. The first section begins with a zip-line with a wall of spiky concrete and a wall of muck blocking the path. Next to the walls are two Swap Harps, one that swaps between gold and Glow Stone and another that swaps between Glow Stone and salt. The player must use the Swap Harps and chunks to clear the walls and ride the zip-line. On the other side of the zip-line is a platform with four Gloominoids and two Swap Harps that swap the same material.
Defeating all the Gloominoids unlocks the second section; the player must ride the zip-line with Glow Stone to light the bulbs and open the door. At the end of this zip-line is a platform with three Crockoids of various material.
Defeating all the Crockoids unlocks the third section, which is organized like the previous section, but with three Stompoids on the final platform.
Salty with a Chance of Gold: Cleared[edit]
Defeating all enemies opens a door to the end section of the third area, which houses a Banandium Gem. For this extra challenge, the player must throw a seed at a wooden Crockoid on a high platform to grow a vine up the platform, where another Banandium Gem is located.
Elephant Elder's Throne[edit]
- “Breaking forecast! Up next...is a big secret! Best summon a brainstorm!”
- —Elephant Elder
Taking the Barrel Cannon from the previous area leads to the final area. The player must first use a Swap Harp to turn the wall of rubber into stone, and destroy the wall to access the main section of the Throne.
On a Neptunite platform atop a floor of lava, the player must use the nearby waterfalls to turn the lava into stone, then swap the stone to rubber with a Swap Harp to reach the next Neptunite Platform and take the Barrel Cannon.
The next area is a Neptunite platform atop a floor of thorns. The player must turn the thorns into lava with the nearby Swap Harp, then activate the ice maker to drop ice cubes and extinguish some of the lava. The player can then use another Swap Harp to turn the extinguished stone into Liftoff Ore.
For the extra challenge, in place of a waterfall on the right is an ice-treat bowl. The player must divert the ice cubes toward the bowl to fill it up and make another Banandium Gem appear.
The player must use the Liftoff Ore to reach the final platform, which houses the final bunch of 3 Banandium Gems along with two Elephants that congratulate the player.
Balloons[edit]
- In the Rehearsal Hall Entrance, inside the cell. The player must inhale the projectile from the VoidCo Bongo Blaster to use as a chunk for destroying the concrete bars.
- In the second section of the "Rain Turning to Salt" area, on a platform above the gap of Shifty Platforms. The player must lure the Trapantuloid into the hole, then use it to reach the balloon.
- In the first section of the "Salty, Light Showers" area, above the Glow Stone platform. The player must lure the Molevoloid below the balloon to easily reach it.
- After defeating the Crockoids in the second section of the "Salty with a Chance of Gold" area, the balloon is located above the Shifty Platforms. The player must use the rubber chunk from the muck Crockoid's club to make a rubber platform with the Shifty Stone and reach the balloon.
- In the Elephant Elder's Throne, on a platform above a lava Wallopoid. The player must extinguish the Wallopoid and then turn its stone to rubber with a Swap Harp to access the balloon.
