| Appears in | Donkey Kong Bananza |
| Effect | Grants Donkey Kong a Bananza form when returned to an Eternatable |
The Ancient Records are a group of five objects in Donkey Kong Bananza. Each one takes the form of a large black vinyl disc with a triangular label in the center which represents one of Donkey Kong's Bananza forms. Each Ancient Record belongs to one of the elders, and when one is returned to an elder's turntable (known as an Eternatable), that elder will grant Donkey Kong a Bananza form corresponding to their species.[1]
Every record but the Kong Elder's starts out broken into pieces, meaning each piece must be individually carried to the Eternatable in order to restore the full object. The Ancient Records (and their pieces) are nigh indestructible but can still be affected by certain hazards. If dropped or thrown somewhere inaccessible or too far away, after a short time, the Record or piece will reappear in its original location.
Once an elder's Bananza Rehearsal is completed in the post-game, a copy of that elder's Ancient Record appears in front of its Eternatable.
