A high-five[1] can be used as a move in Super Mario Party and Donkey Kong Bananza.

In Super Mario Party, after a 2-vs.-2, 1-vs.-3 (if the solo player loses), or Co-op minigame, if the winning team has at least one human player, they will able to give their teammate(s) a high-five by swinging their Joy-Con Joy-Con, as prompted by the announcer exclaiming, "Ready... Yeah!" Doing so grants all players on the team two bonus coins. The announcer will repeat, "Ready... Yeah!" if a player does not high-five the first time; if a player refuses to high-five again, their teammate(s) will look at the player's character disappointingly.

In Donkey Kong Bananza, when Donkey Kong tries to punch most characters, he gives them a high-five instead. When Donkey Kong high-fives a character, small blue-and-purple particles appear, and Donkey Kong gives a thumbs-up. Donkey Kong cannot high-five every character, such as Fractones, elders, and Grumpy Kong after battling him. Donkey Kong is required to perform a high-five on a sleeping snake at the entrance of the Radiance Layer's Hiss Hiss Oasis to wake it up and receive a new waypoint, who informs him about Grumpy Kong's location. In the Emerald Rush mode in the DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC, one of the goals that may appear is to high-five one of the NPCs in the layer.
