Emerald ore, also referred to as Banandium Emerald (or simply emerald), is a green, shiny mineral that appears during an Emerald Rush in Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush. It is a raw, unripened form of Banandium whose composition is closer to that of emeralds. It is also a powerful source of energy that Void Kong seeks to monopolize in order to make a fortune.
During an Emerald Rush, emerald ore replaces all gold present on a layer. Donkey Kong and Pauline must collect as much emerald ore as possible, either by destroying it or as a reward for completing a Void Goal.
