Balloons are objects in Donkey Kong Bananza which appear during certain missions. They are yellow objects with a small thin rope tied around the neck and a lime-colored Banandium Gem silhouette on the front and back. If a mission featuring Balloons has already been completed, they will instead be gray and slightly translucent, similar to Banandium Gems.

Missions with Balloons feature five of them, which must all be be popped in order to cause a Banandium Gem to appear. Free-standing Balloons are popped by touching them, while those attached to Crockoids require Donkey Kong to destroy the enemy's terrain shell before they can be retrieved. When at least one balloon has been popped and DK is nearby the area with the Balloons, an indicator appears on the top left of the screen, underneath the current story objective, showing how many Balloons are left. Much like with Hiddentones, uncollected Balloons are represented with a dotted outline.

Each Bananza Rehearsal also features five Balloons, but rather than being tied to a Banandium Gem, popping all five will reward Donkey Kong with the disc for an instrumental version of the respective elder's Bananza.
