Molevoloids are enemies in Donkey Kong Bananza. They are a golden, mole-like skeletons that are encased in varying materials depending on the surface they emerge from and are in the shape of a cylindrical with four paws. When a Molevoloid spots Donkey Kong, it burrows into the ground and tunnels toward him. Once it is directly below Donkey Kong, it will surface with a drill-like protrusion on its back that injures Donkey Kong if it makes contact. After a Molevoloid surfaces, it will stand still for a few moments before tunneling back underground. Some Molevoloids will create a pillar of their material after they surface, standing atop the pillar; they will float in the air if the pillar is destroyed. Molevoloids can be defeated with any attack.

Their golden skeleton can only be seen if the terrain they are encased in is destroyed or damaged, the former of which defeats them as a result unlike other enemies like Crockoids and Stompoids.

Donkey Kong is able to stand on a Molevoloid and use it as a platform; however, if it is made of thorns or another hazardous material, it will hurt him instead.

NamingEdit

The English name is a pun on "mole", in reference to the real-world animals that Molevoloids are based on, and "malevolent". The name includes the "-oid" suffix that is shared by most enemies found in the Underground World, in reference to the Void Company which created them.
