Bananergy

Bananergy is the collectible energy in Donkey Kong Bananza that allows Donkey Kong to activate a Bananza. It is gained by collecting gold or Banandium Chips and smashing Banandium Melon. Once Donkey Kong has full Bananergy, the player can hold 
and 
to have him perform a drumbeat and transform into one of the five Bananza forms for a short amount of time. During a transformation, the player can hold and again to cancel it, returning any unused Bananergy to the meter. A Bananza cannot be activated while the Bananergy meter is not full, unless Donkey Kong has Melon Juice in his inventory.
Donkey Kong always has full Bananergy at the Heart of Gold, its entry, and New Donk City, indicated by the meter's color shifting between yellow, cyan, and pink. In the aforementioned areas, Melon Juice is disabled and the time limit for Bananzas are not shown and are indefinite.
