Notable members

Muckoids are gooey enemies in Donkey Kong Bananza, appearing in the Feast Layer. They are sentient blobs of muck with slug-like features such as a pair of antennae. Idle Muckoids hide in muck with their antennae sticking out. When they notice Donkey Kong, Muckoids will emerge from the muck and shoot a substance, which varies depending on the Muckoid's color. Muckoids with a pink and green gradient fire muck that sticks to the ground and can be dissolved by salt, while Muckoids with an orange and purple gradient shoot an orange acid (labeled as "???" in-game) that can melt through terrain such as melted iron or salt. Both substances damage Donkey Kong on contact. Due to their muck-based bodies, Muckoids cannot be harmed by any attack other than a chunk of salt being thrown at them, which causes them to dissolve.

Battle Challenges[edit]

  • Feast Layer Battle Challenge 3: Muckoid ×4
  • Feast Layer Battle Challenge 4: Muckoid ×13
  • Feast Layer Battle Challenge 6: Muckoid ×2

Naming[edit]

The Muckoid is named after "muck", which refers to a filthy substance. The name also includes the "-oid" suffix shared by many enemies in the Underground World, referring to their Void Company creators.
