Ice makers are objects in Donkey Kong Bananza. They are large, metal, vertical tubes attached to ceilings or walls that dispense ice cubes from the opening at the bottom when activated. At the end of the tube is a transparent spherical compartment that holds the ice cubes. These ice cubes are either blue, pink, or yellow, with blue ice cubes occurring the most. Punching the spherical compartment slightly shakes it and briefly halts the flow of ice cubes if the ice maker is activated.
To activate an ice maker, Donkey Kong must pull a nearby handle. This handle is part of a black, hoof-shaped structure. When the handle is pulled, the structure retracts into the ground and its associated ice maker activates. This causes the activated ice maker to begin dispensing its ice cubes.
Ice cubes can cool lava, converting the lava into obsidian and instantly melting the ice cube. Commonly, brown, metal bowls can be found nearby ice makers; getting enough ice cubes into this bowl creates a shaved ice in the bowl, and a Banandium Gem is spawned nearby.
