“The Blusterwing is a bird...and one that actually loves bananas! We usually offer it bananas to ensure pleasant weather. Oh, how I miss that bird's singing...”
Elephant, Donkey Kong Bananza

The Singing Blusterwing, or simply the Blusterwing, is a bird-like creature in Donkey Kong Bananza. It is native to the Tempest Layer of the Underground World, where its mood controlled the layer's weather by singing; the elephants offer it bananas to ensure pleasant weather. During the game's main story, the Singing Blusterwing is mind-controlled by Void Company using a Batteroid-like mask similar to the Mind-Bender Mask used on the Great Harmoneel,[1] corrupting it into the Sinister Blusterwing. Wall art of the Singing Blusterwing can be found in the aforementioned layer.

After Donkey Kong and Pauline free the Blusterwing, it can be found flying on sublayer 900 and 903 during the post-game. Throwing a chunk at the bird will cause it to release gold.

Even the largest creature can't resist. Did you notice the mask attached to the Blusterwing in the Tempest Layer? That was a similar brainwashing device."
