Flaming barrels are obstacles in Donkey Kong Bananza. They are blue barrels that roll, bearing a resemblance to oil drums from previous Donkey Kong games. As their name implies, flaming barrels are on fire, and Donkey Kong will receive damage if he touches one. Flaming barrels are introduced in the Radiance Layer's Solar Control Tower, appearing both in the tower's interior as the primary obstacles and in the Challenge Course found at the top of the tower. Flaming barrels also appear in the ultimate section of the Great Harmoneel's Windpipe. Flaming barrels appear in two different sizes: large and small, which do not appear in the Solar Control Tower. Inaccessible holes in ceilings or walls dispense flaming barrels, rolling once they touch the ground until destroyed. Flaming barrels can be destroyed by throwing a chunk at them, Turf Surfing into them, having them touch lava, or being hit by the shockwave produced by the Kong Bananza's Charge Punch.
