Glare is an ability possessed by the Snake Bananza transformation in Donkey Kong Bananza. It gives a slow-motion effect to the world with the exception of Donkey Kong, making it effective in scenarios with moving components. Glare is executed by holding and releasing Y Button. Glare only lasts for a few seconds; however, the amount of time the slow-motion lasts can be increased by upgrading the "Better Glare" skill with a Skill Point. Upon the activation of a Glare, Donkey Kong will raise his arms and open his mouth. Additionally, a wavy, green border will appear at the edges of the screen for the duration of the slow motion, similarly to the one created by a Wonder Effect.

Although Glare is intended to be used throughout the Radiance Layer and challenges requiring the Snake Bananza transformation, it is not necessary to complete them.

Time limits, such as those in Battle Challenges, are affected by the Glare; however, in order for the Emerald Rush time limit to be affected, the Staring Down Emerald Perk must be earned. Two other Emerald Perks are affected by Glare, those being Slo-Mo Beat and Glaring Forager; the former rewards more emerald ore after defeating an enemy during Glare's slow-motion effect, and the latter increases the items found while smashing terrain during Glare's slow-motion effect.
