Li'l Eelevator, Donkey Kong Bananza

Li'l Eelevators are allies in Donkey Kong Bananza who are a commonly seen group of blue eels with prominent orange lips. They are members of the Eel Family, being the children of the Eelevator and the Great Harmoneel. They are spread out across the Underground World, with at least one appearing in each layer starting with the Lagoon Layer, but they usually do not leave their respective layers, as their mother becomes worried if they travel too far.[1] They can also be seen as crowd members during a Bananza ceremony.

Teeleport[edit]

Li'l Eelevators help out Donkey Kong and Pauline by allowing them to fast-travel, or "Teeleport" within a layer to checkpoints, Getaways, or certain landmarks, by swallowing up the duo and then spitting them out at the destination. Teeleporting first becomes available at the Lagoon Layer, even if the duo has not yet met the Li'l Eelevator near the bridge to Elder Court in sublayer 101. It is not possible to Teeleport during a boss fight, while riding a Mine Cart, or if Pauline is not present, such as during the first visit to the Groove Layer. It also cannot be used in situations where the map cannot be opened, such as inside a challenge area. Finally, it is not possible to Teeleport to an entirely different layer, though the duo can Teeleport to the layer's Warp Gong which itself can then be used to travel to a different layer.
