"Steam Gardens"[3] is a musical theme composed by Koji Kondo for Super Mario Odyssey, where it plays in the Wooded Kingdom and the third section of the Darker Side.

Super Mario Odyssey[edit]
Super Mario Odyssey marks the first appearance of "Steam Gardens". A remix of the theme that incorporates extra percussion and a synth-like instrument, titled "Steam Gardens: Sherm Sector" on the Nintendo Music app and "Steam Gardens: Sherm" in the Music List, plays while fighting the rotating defense mechanism and a Yoofoe. An 8-bit version of the theme, titled "Steam Gardens - 8-Bit" on Nintendo Music and "Steam Gardens (8-Bit)" in the Music List, plays when Mario is in a 2D section of Steam Gardens. "Steam Gardens" is later quoted in "Underground Moon Caverns". "Steam Gardens" is also featured in the Super Mario Odyssey Sound Selection, while all three tracks are also featured on the Super Mario Odyssey Original Soundtrack.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the original version of "Steam Gardens" appears as a playable track on any Super Smash Bros.- and Super Mario-series stage.
Mario Kart World[edit]
Mario Kart World features two arrangements of "Steam Gardens", both of which can play in Free Roam: a faster-paced blues rock arrangement titled "Steam Gardens (Rock Ver.)" and a faithful southern soul arrangement titled "Steam Gardens (Soul Ver.)". The former version can also play on the route from Choco Mountain to Toad's Factory in the Lightning Cup and any VS Race route.
